Welcome to the Coeliac UK online catering training module for the education sector.
Our education module is designed specifically for catering staff who work in schools, colleges and universities and have students that must follow a gluten-free diet. Why you should take the course?
Schools and Nurseries
Schools have a duty of care to provide for the needs of children in their care.
The Children’s and Families Act 2014 came into force in September 2014, and states that all state-funded schools in England, including academies and free schools in England must make arrangements for supporting children with medical conditions. It also places a legal duty on these schools to offer a free school lunch to all pupils in reception, year 1 and year 2 from September 2014.
Our training can help you understand how to cater for pupils who have coeliac disease.
Universities/Further Education Colleges
Decisions on where to study next can often be influenced by good gluten-free provision. By taking our training you can demonstrate to prospective students that they will be well catered for if they decide to attend your establishment.
If you are looking to educate your own students on the importance of catering gluten-free as part of a wider course/curriculum our module can be adapted to suit your specific needs. Please get in touch using the below contact information.
If you are interested in training a large number of staff or want to personalise a module unique to your educational establishment please contact email@example.com or 01494 796727 for more information. We can also offer discounts for those wanting to train 11 or more staff so please get in touch!
